Shillong Peak

Shillong Peak is the highest point in the city and offers a panoramic view of Shillong and the surrounding Khasi Hills. Located about 10 kilometers from the city center, the viewpoint provides travelers with a breathtaking perspective of the entire region. On clear days visitors can see the entire Shillong city spread across the hills along with distant valleys and forests. The cool mountain air and wide landscape make the viewpoint a perfect place for photography and sightseeing. The area is also popular during sunset when the sky transforms into shades of orange and purple while the lights of Shillong gradually appear below.
